Contemporary Style

A successful project starts with good cooperation between the architect, the designer and the client. Everyone’s personal experience is a starting point in developing the house personality, that takes its shape and color based on the hosts’ life style.

Open Space Style creates an airy, yet functional, intimate and easy-to-maintain space, without carpets, with a contemporary personality, where a small pool might bring big rewards.
If each object has a little bit of silence around it, it leads to consistency in style – less is more (Mies van der Rohe).

A spectacular outdoor

The outdoor style brings value to elements from nature adapting them in a spectacular way to house comfort, as if nature enters the living space.
This style is perfect on sunny days in Romania.

In the backyard, the central piece is the covered terrace where a large table gathers family and guests. The peaceful sound of water pouring out of an amphora surrounded by ornamental flowerpots give the expected effect in a contemporary green décor.
During the night, both house and garden are discreetly lit creating a new kind of perspective on the same décor.

Art focus

A penthouse with opening on a generous terrace from where visitors admire “Bucharest by night”.
The only requests from the owners were not to follow an interior design overrated trend.

An apartment with entrance directly from the elevator, benefiting from open space and natural light, spreading on a single floor, with wooden beams preserving the tradition of a house with personality, where each object has its own story.
Once more, the most expensive objects or those in fashion are not the key to a spectacular design, but well-chosen paintings and flowers give the right vibes anytime, anywhere.

Charming little garden

An open and bright house, with glass wall from floor to ceiling in the living room, facing a luxuriant garden – exactly what the young couple wanted from a house.

Besides the lights focusing on plants and the waterfall on one of the interior walls, there is a generous permanently built couch, especially designed for this space, excellent to watch the interior fireplace from.
The garden in front welcomes you with a long seat that prolongs the house entrance, where a small fence and a ramp add value to the main attraction – the pine.

The rebirth of a house

This house was desperately in need for love and renovation. My clients wanted a transformation but in line with the adjacent houses on one of the most charming streets in Bucharest.

Design furniture with exclusive materials and subtle details, in an open space, give the personality of this design project.
The materials’ color and texture were my starting points. Mat and shiny, strong and soft, translucent and opaque – these are quick and affordable solutions for any design.

Light increases space

A project where interior spaces and finishing touches had to be redesigned. Most of my clients are bold and have no rules. People want to boast, some way or another, and this influences interior design as well.

The biggest challenges were slanted ceilings in the attic and the lack of light; these were the starting points in choosing the décor. On the staircase hallway, an elastic translucent membrane covers the ceiling from where led lights pour a soft light simulating a stained glass effect as if the sky is visible.
The purity of modern and simple lines give contour to contemporary functionality, without crowding the space.

Unconventional apartment

The young owners didn’t want to focus on the kitchen but rather make it a passing-by space to a much more appreciated terrace.

The two-nuanced wooden floor plays a key role in the unconventional placement of the furniture, giving balance to the remaining space with an oblique drawing towards the walls.
Wallpapers and playful color combinations integrated in colorful light greys are lit with modern appliances.

OB GYN Office

When thinking about a visit to an OB GYN, don’t you envisage a cold and rather embarrassing atmosphere? Not anymore. The owners of this practice have chosen a design with personality, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where patients’ comfort is as important as their health.

The vintage design in the waiting room is in beautiful contrast with the minimalist style in the examination room. Designed to be white, the examination room has a lighting system that allows the doctor to change the color so that patients could relax due to their own preferences.

On-going change

Any showroom updates its looks any time when there is a need to rearrange its products for a better consumer experience.

The chairs, available in a great variety, are well displayed unconventionally on the wall, where white and black chromatics gives contour to their diversity. Most of the lightning devices are placed on the opposite shelves thus creating a relaxed wall-less open space for diverse furniture.
Thus consumers can have an overall view of the showroom, noticing even the slightest details within the imposing décor.

Diversity

The good thing about this profession is that whenever I have a new client, I feel like I have a new job. I need an in depth analysis of the décor and space for each of my project, so this allows me to discover new ways to exploration.

Exterior and interior finishing touches with different textures and in discreet nuances placed in contrast with a favourite colour might highlight any point of interest. The light should surround us, and should come from more than one source.
If each object has a little bit of silence around it, it leads to consistency in style. "Sometimes, less is more" – Mies van der Rohe.
